Chand Publishing in collaboration with Quizcraft Global.
This prestigious event was a powerful celebration of knowledge and intellectual excellence, bringing together ten outstanding finalist teams from across India, shortlisted after rigorous preliminary rounds that saw participation from over 300 schools nationwide.
The programme commenced with a ceremonial welcome of the distinguished dignitaries, including Mr. Dennis George and Mr. Jitendra Kumar Agnihotri, CEO, S. Chand Publishing. The occasion was further elevated by the presence of Dr. Priyamvada Agarwal, Publishing and Marketing Head, and Mr. Gaurav Rai, Vice President (Sales), whose august presence set an inspiring tone for the day.
The quiz featured multiple high-energy rounds, challenging participants across diverse domains such as general knowledge, science, current affairs, sports, and literature, keeping both contestants and the audience thoroughly engaged.
After a thrilling finale, DAV Bhubaneswar emerged as the champion, followed by Cambridge High School, Jaipur, as first runner-up, while Shalom Hills International School proudly secured the second runner-up position.
Concluding with a heartfelt vote of thanks, the event stood not merely as a competition, but as a vibrant celebration of learning, collaboration, and the enduring pursuit of excellence.
Shalom Hills International School had the honour of hosting the Hub of Learning (HOL) Inter-School Nukkad Naatak Competition on the thought-provoking theme ‘सोशल मीडिया: अभिशाप या वरदान’.

Far more than a conventional academic competition, the World Scholar’s Cup is a vibrant celebration of learning, cultural exchange, collaboration, and the spirit of global citizenship.
The opening ceremony set the tone for the days ahead, as the ambience resonated with the spirit of curiosity and excellence. The atmosphere brimmed with excitement and anticipation, heralding an immersive and intellectually stimulating experience.
The competition commenced with the Team Debate, where Shalomites impressed one and all with their logical rigour, eloquence, and respectful engagement with opposing viewpoints. This was followed by the Collaborative Writing round, which not only highlighted their expressive writing abilities but also honed their aptitude for giving and receiving constructive feedback — a true testament to teamwork and mutual respect.
In the Scholar’s Challenge, students navigated complex questions that demanded sharp analytical thinking. Our scholars responded with commendable dexterity, achieving impressive scores. The culminating event, the Scholar’s Bowl, held in a grand auditorium, was charged with palpable energy. Teams responded to rapid-fire questions with seamless coordination and strategic acumen, reflecting both their knowledge and synergy.
The Award Ceremony was a moment of immense pride, as SHIS students were lauded for their outstanding accomplishments. In the Junior Division, they secured 107 gold medals, 90 silver medals, and 4 trophies. The Senior Division delivered an even more stellar performance, garnering 153 gold medals, 83 silver medals, and 7 prestigious trophies — a resounding affirmation of their dedication and prowess.
A delightful highlight of the event was the Scholar’s Show, where students showcased their talents in music, dance, and performing arts. The auditorium reverberated with applause as participants received a standing ovation, celebrating not only their talents but the friendships and memories forged beyond the academic realm.
Participation in the World Scholar’s Cup proved to be a Journey of Intellectual Discovery and Global Camaraderie. While the accolades were many, the true reward lay in the profound personal growth, the strengthening of global perspectives, and the cultivation of empathy and dialogue. In a world often marked by division, our students returned enriched — not only as more accomplished scholars but as more thoughtful, compassionate, and globally-minded individuals.

The Behes 2024-25 South Delhi Regional Round, held on the 8th and 9th of November at The Heritage School, Vasant Kunj, New Delhi, exemplified this spirited intellectual engagement. Over 330 students from the Delhi-NCR region’s most reputed schools competed fervently across two divisions: the Cubs (grades 6-8) and the Lions (grades 9-12). Debates spanned a range of contemporary global issues to thought-provoking hypothetical scenarios.
The event commenced with an inaugural ceremony, followed by an orientation session that introduced participants to the nuances of Behes. Shalom Hills International School was represented by an enthusiastic team of 45 talented debaters. The tournament concluded with an awards ceremony that celebrated the achievements of the young orators.
Through dedicated preparation and outstanding performances, Shalom Hills International School clinched the runner-up title in the Lions Division. Our students earned an impressive array of accolades: 2 gold, 5 silver, and 6 bronze medals in the Junior category, along with 4 gold, 4 silver, and 4 bronze in the Senior category. Notably, one senior student ranked as the third-best speaker overall, while a junior student secured the tenth position. A total of 8 teams from our school advanced to the much-anticipated Maha Behes.

In celebration of World Mental Health Week on October 9, 2024 Shalom Hills International School participated in a special event for students titled - Semicolon: Echoes of Emotions hosted by Gems International School. The event saw enthusiastic participation from students of various schools engaging in a series of workshops, discussions, and competitions.
The school facilitated several engaging contests and sessions such as "Unveiling Emotions," an expressive arts workshop, "Yoga for Relaxation and Wellness," and creative activities like Mask Making and Soundscape Creation.
Urjita Diwakar from Grade VII secured the First Outstanding Performance position and was lauded for her thematically aligned excellent mask on the theme: Divergence of Self – Crafting My Ideal & Real Mask, while Lavanya Harsana from Grade VIII earned the Second Outstanding Performance position with her exceptional display of creativity. Both made the school proud with their remarkable achievements.
The event left a lasting impact on both teachers and participants. Our students' innovative ideas were discussed with great enthusiasm by fellow competitors and judges. and Wellness Department of Shalom Hills International School orchestrated an intensive webinar
as part of the ‘Hub of Learning’ venture.
The webinar, spearheaded by Senior
Counsellor Ms Bhupinder Kaur and Special Educator Dr Sapna Bhardwaj, delved into advanced
strategies for recognizing and addressing the multifaceted needs of children with disabilities.
The session placed a heavy emphasis on fostering inclusive education and equipping educators to
tackle academic and behavioural challenges in a way that promotes holistic well-being and
fulfilment. The overarching goal was to impart comprehensive, practical knowledge, enabling
participants to be not only more resourceful but also adept in their interactions with children
requiring specialized support.
In collaboration with various schools, the webinar rigorously explored the 23 recognized
disabilities and scrutinized the extensive accommodations provided by CBSE. The discussion
underscored the critical importance of schools being fully informed and proactive in delivering
tailored educational experiences that maximize both awareness and support.
A spectrum of
pressing topics was covered, ranging from the identification of Children with Disabilities (CWD)
and tailored classroom strategies to effective communication techniques. Participants were also
guided about overcoming the numerous barriers that often impede the full inclusion of special
needs students in mainstream educational settings.
To gauge the depth of understanding and
retention, participants were required to complete follow-up assessments, including a
post-webinar sensitization questionnaire and a detailed feedback form. The intensity and
engagement demonstrated by the instructors and counsellors were palpable, further propelling the
mission of the "Hub of Learning" project into the spotlight.
Another achievement added to the glory of the Shalom family. Ismat Kaur and Nitya Agarwal of grade V secured the 2 nd position in the Inter-school competition ‘TECHBUZZ 2024’ organized by DAV Public School, Sector 14,Gurugram. Many renowned schools participated in the event ‘IDEATE AND REFLECT’ on July 26, 2024. In the event, students had to design an innovative digital story on the topic- “The Tech Revolution in Childhood- From Playgrounds to Playstations” in the form of a PowerPoint presentation. Ismat and Nitya made use of their creative perspective through animation, transition and multimedia features of MS- PowerPoint for making a truly innovative and inspiring visual story.

Amid much fanfare, The Shri Ram School Aravali,

organized SHRI UTSAV 2024 – An Inter-school Theatre and Choreography competition on 3 rd May,
2024.
Students
of Grades IX - XII vied with the other premier schools of Gurugram and Delhi. Establishing its
supremacy, Shalom
Hills International School under the stewardship and profound blessings of school’s Founder and
Chairperson, Dr.
Mrs. Lilly George clinched the most prestigious positions in both the Dance and Theatre categories
viz Best
Performance in Theatre, Best Choreography as well as Best Costume.
The performances produced a
cut-throat
competition, posing a real hard challenge for the jury. Dances were critically evaluated on the
scale of
Choreography, Technique, Costume, Expressions and overall Presentation. Similarly, theatre
performances were
meticulously judged on parameters like Relevance to the Theme, Dialogue and Body Language, Stage
Presence, and
Acting/Expression. The excitement peaked as the schools clearly outdid each other on one criterion
or the other.
Striking all the right notes, SHIS contestants decisively reigned by dint of their uncanny elegance
and finesse.
The achievement is even more special as TSRS Aravali is celebrating its 25th year in the journey of
artistic

Championing the cause

environmental awareness, Shalom Hills International School dazzled at the GREENOVATION hosted by
Summer Fields
School, Gurugram on April 19 th ,2024 in which Amitesh Choudhary and Ean Kotadia of grade IX bagged
the second
prize for best speakers for both for and against the motion while Tanush Khajuria won prize for the
best

The Suncity Spardha
Tournament held
on 11th February 2024 at Suncity School, Sec-37-D Gurugram, Haryana, witnessed an enthusiastic
participation of
120 students. The tournament showcased intense competition across various age categories, with a
special focus
on U-12 and U-14 divisions for both girls and boys. With 120 students participating, the tournament
exhibited a
high level of engagement and sportsmanship.
In the U-12 and U-14 age categories, both girls and
boys
exhibited exceptional performance. Notably, the S.H.I.S team stood out in the Under-14 Boys
category, securing
an impressive tally of 3 Gold, 2 Silver, and 3 Bronze medals. Their remarkable achievement
underscores their
dedication and prowess in badminton. The Suncity Spardha Tournament served as a platform to foster
talent and
promote the spirit of sportsmanship among young badminton players. With its wide-ranging
participation and
competitive fervor, the event highlighted the growing interest and enthusiasm for badminton in the
region.
"Hub of Learning" introduced by CBSE is a place or concept that promotes and supports a culture
of continuous learning and knowledge exchange. Keeping in the view that there is as much to
learn from a small school with less resources as from a large school with several resources,
Shalom Hills International School as a lead collaborator conducted an online session of the Hub
of learning program on January 31,2024.
This collaboration among schools is needed to
fashion an ecosystem for the schools to take up actual all-round self-improvement. It allows not
only sharing of best practices, but also the possibility of adaptation or even replication of
these practices.
Students from Manav Rachna International School and Tagore Public School
of grade VI attended this workshop. The session started with the quiz to check the previous
knowledge of children. A power point presentation was used to explain them the native and non-
native species, how they spread, their harmful effects and steps to eradicate invasive species.
At the end students were given a quiz to check how much they have learnt. Students appreciated
and learnt new concept of invasive species; they were very interactive throughout the session.
Keeping with the aforesaid, our talented Shalomites, once again made us immensely proud through their performance in the Interschool event organized by Delhi Public School, Sushant Lok on 3 Februrary, 2024. It was am interschool School Art Jamboree with the theme: Sense Abilities: Unleashing Creativity through Multi-Sensort Fusion.
Students from renowned schools of Delhi NCR and around the country took part in this event and showcased their talent.
Aarika Dangi of grade IV of Shalom Hills International School secured second position in ‘Picture It’. In this event a poem was recited twice and Aarika demonstrated her comprehension by creating a drawn and coloured illustration reflecting her understanding of the poem. Aarika performed exceptionally well and was able to create a beautiful illustration of the recited poem.

Shalom Hills International School, Gurugram proudly hosted yet another annual edition of the
Inter-school competition within the framework of Hub of Learning (HOL) - a collaborative
consortium of the leading schools in Gurugram. Beginning with a sacred invocation of the
Almighty, the program took off on an auspicious note diffusing a fragrance of positivity and
aplomb. A mellifluent welcome song rendered by the talented Shalomites acted as a prelude to the
grueling rivalry among the top schools of the likes of Manav Rachna International School, Tagore
Public School, Deepika Public School and SHIS. The contestants gave it their all to seal victory
as the showdown went all the way down to the wire, leaving the audience overawed.
The
participants' evaluation centered around their content, creativity, diction, and expression.
Needless to mention, the jury encountered a challenging task in awarding scores, given the
gratifying performances displayed before them. Besides, a short spell of Tongue Twisters added
more zing to the event. Through this, HOL reaffirms its objective of providing holistic learning
experience that encompasses creativity, communication, collaboration and personal development in
a conducive environment. Finally, SHIS clinched the first prize followed by Manav Rachna
International School and Deepika Public School being the second and the third runner-up
respectively.
Our most talented Shalomitee, Kashvi Muttreja showcased best of her skating techniques and secured remarkable FIRST rank in this most prestigious 8 th Gurugram Skaters Roller Skating Championship organized by Vivekananda School Sec. 69, Gurugram. Her competitors were the young talents from various esteemed schools across Gurugram. Kashvi Muttreja of class III A, Shalom Hills International School secured the first position in this tough competition. The Shalom Family is proud of Kashvi’s tremendous efforts and achievement and wishes her all the best for her future endeavours.

In order to foster collaboration and knowledge sharing among the members of CBSE Hub of Learning
, Shalom Hills International School organized a computer training programme on 'Ms Sway' on 3 rd
November,2023 for the students of grade VII. The teachers groomed the students on the theme and
post the session two enthusiastic contestants from each Hub school partook in a hands on
activity to test their learning.
The activity aimed at introducing a useful digital tool
for creating interactive and engaging presentations in order to make the students adept in
technical skills.. They created their own presentations on SDG Goal 14- Life Below Water by
adding images, videos and styles, grouping pictures, embedding google maps and stack images
etc.
The scholars cheerfully adopted the novel techniques exhibiting a lot of self-
assurance which very well reflected in their presentations. The feedback received from the
students and teachers was overwhelming. The session ended with them delightfully posing with
certificates basking in the glory of learning something innovative.
Shalomites unleashed
unbridled
creativity and exceptional technical prowess in an array of inter school competitions held at The
Shri Ram
School Moulsari, Phase-3,Gurugram, Haryana from 3 to 8 November beating precocious talent from
various schools
across Gurugram in a multitude of events such as web designing, hackathon, power play, quiz, code
compact, and
many more. The prodigious scholars secured first position in the web designing as well as made it to
the finals
in the tech quiz hosted by the renowned tech guru , Mr. Rajeev Makhani .
The week-long event
culminated with
the contestants receiving the much deserved trophies and certificates for their accomplishments in a
prize
distribution ceremony. Euphoric and gratified , all the participants cheered and applauded for one
another
nurturing a sense of camaraderie and candor for times to come. It was indeed a proud moment for one
and all.
Inspired by the vision
of our
beloved MD ma’am to promote holistic growth, Shalom Hills International School, Gurugram
participated in the
inter school competition - G. D. Goenka Sports Fiesta 2023, held at the eponymous school. As many as
25 schools
jumped into the fray to vie for the top slot. The three- day event witnessed a great display of
skill, stamina
and spirit by the Shalomites by dint of which they clinched four gold medals in the Skating
competition.
Striking gold in skating rubbed off on the players as they gave it their all to bag
another gold
in the Table Tennis contest coupled with the raining silver and bronze medals in Taekwondo and
Badminton. It was
indeed a proud moment for the whole school.

BEHES, organized by The Heritage School, Vasant Kunj, New Delhi on November 3 and 4. The competition
witnessed
participation from over 300 students from schools across Delhi NCR as Cubs (VI – VIII) & Lions
(IX – XII)
eager to checkmate each other through their super-cogent arguments.
Invigorated and blessed by
our
academically progressive Founder and Chairperson, Dr (Mrs.) Lilly George, 78 enthusiastic debaters
from SHIS
participated in the battle of wits out of which 24 teams stand qualified for the National Round –
Maha
Behes.
The Opening Ceremony followed by a briefing session set the ball rolling. Having
majestically sailed
through the league stage, Shalomites continued their winning streak on the ultimate day (November 4)
by dazzling
in the knock-out rounds bagging the runners up trophy for the Cubs winning 7 gold , 12 silver and 9
bronze
medals. The Lions clinched 5 gold, 8 silver and 7 bronze medals. Two of our young scholars fostered
school’s
pride by attaining the 2 nd and 5 th Best speaker positions overall in the Cubs and Lions divisions
respectively
by virtue of their marvelous diction and flawless expression.
From blended learning to computerized testing, digital and online technologies are reshaping the classroom experience for students. Technology provides students with easy-to-access information, accelerated learning, and fun opportunities to practice what they learn. Exhibiting their technological acumen, our Shalomites performed exceptionally well in the inter-school competition, Cyfernode-2.3, organized by Summer Field School, DLF Phase-I, Sec-26A, Gurugram. Competing with many prominent schools, the Shalom Tech experts bagged positions in two competitions, in the event featuring various competitive activities encompassing a wide range of talents and skills.

bronze medal in
50m Backstroke and silver medal in 50m Butterfly event for boys under 11. Aarav Badgaiyan of class V

again! The

competitions during the inter-school competition, Melange 3.0, organised by Suncity School Sector
37D, Gurugram.

Spell Bee

the Third position in Emoji Enigma. Tanush Khajuria and Moksh Bharti of Grade VIII showcased their
rapping
skills and won the Second Prize in Bardic Rap Battle. Kanav, Arushi and Kunjal of Grade IX bagged

prize in Hindi Vaad-Vivaad Competition.

Shalom Hills International School, Gurugram organised yet another successful edition of the

Shreyas and
Harshika of grade VIII bagged first position in the event ‘Acoustic in Action’ and Ashwik Vashisht

is a simulation of the United Nations where students role-play as delegates from various countries
and engage in
debates on global issues.
MUN conferences aim to promote diplomacy, negotiation, and
understanding of
international relations among participants. Preparing and participating in a MUN helps students
develop
leadership skills, research, writing, public speaking, and problem-solving skills. A delegation of 7
students
and an individual candidate from Shalom Hills International School participated in the Inter- school
MUN
conference organized by BLUE BELLS MODEL SCHOOL Sector-4, Gurugram.
The delegates exhibited
exemplary
research and presentation skills. Their speeches and resolutions showcased in-depth understanding of
the global
issues being discussed and reflected the dedication and hard work put into their MUN preparation.
Effectively
representing their assigned countries and advocating for their positions, four Shalomites received
commendations. Arpit Verma (XI) received the High Commendation, while Kahini Desai (X), Siddharth

In the event, students had to create a drawing in Paint 3D software on the topic ‘AI Unleashed: Shaping the Future of Humanity’. GEMA International Short Story Writing Competition-Fall ’23 was organised to give students a chance to discover their literary talents and showcase their creativity to the world. This was an opportunity for students to unleash their imagination and share their stories with the world. Naitik Gupta of IV H participated in the story writing competition and achieved the first position. He has been awarded with a Merit Certificate of achievement and a Trophy. Skating tournament 2023 was organized on 17 th September 2023 in Gurugram. It was organized by The
Vivekananda
School. There were 25 schools which participated in the tournament. Students of Shalom Hills

School won prizes in different categories. Kashvi Muttreja of grade III A and Himanshi Yadav of
grade VB were
awarded Gold medals in the respective events. Amaan Islam of grade IID and Saavi Visnohi of grade
IIA won the

Amity International School, sector 46 hosted the inter-school competition, Multiple Intelligence Fest on 23rd August, 2023. Divyanshi Khanna, Aaradhya Singh, Kartik Gaur and Ambika Singh (Class I) participated in the event ‘FUTURE BRILLANTE’. The event aimed to present a Skit Enactment on the theme depicting “Our Planet: One Earth, One Family, One Future”. Alyssa Sarah Varghese, Naavya Bhardwaj, Pranshi Sharma, Aaradhya, Bernice Jacob, Amrita Rastogi, Tersha Kalia, Marium Denhgal and Khushvi Yadav (Class- IV) participated in another event ‘Melange-Where culture meets’. This event aimed to present a dance performance based on the same theme “Our Planet: One Earth, One Family, One Future”. Class I students presented a skit reflecting the interplay of all eight multiple intelligences while adhering to a time limit of 3 minutes. Children were dressed up as per their act and presented their skit on “G-20 theme- Our Planet-One Earth, One family and One Future.” Their hard-work and dedication paid off as they won the 3 rd prize in the competition. Class IV students presented a dance performance based on the theme “Our Planet: One Earth, One Family, One Future” reflecting on the interplay of all 8 multiple intelligences. Children were dressed up as per their theme and presented their performance on “Vasudhaive Kutumbcum” Their hard-work and dedication paid off as they won 3 rd prize in the competition. This event succeeded in providing a platform for young talents to showcase their speaking and dancing talent while raising awareness about the importance of 8 Multiple intelligences and how to integrate them in their performances.
The Rotary Public School hosted the inter-school competition, Samvid 2.0 on the 22nd of August 2023. Tahira Kalia of 4 H participated in event 2, Tell A Tale – Endangered Tails. The event aimed to provide a platform for young talents to showcase their storytelling skills while raising awareness about endangered species and their conservation. Students were required to present a story related to their chosen species while adhering to a time limit of 2 minutes. The event sought to evaluate participants on various criteria, including the use of props, fluency, expressions, presentation, and the relevance of their story to the theme of endangered species. Tahira displayed exceptional storytelling abilities. Tahira's chosen endangered species was the Marbled Map Butterfly. With this unique and engaging choice, she captured the attention of the audience and judges alike. Her performance was very expressive and truly commendable. Tahira’s hard- work and dedication paid off as she won 3 rd prize in the competition. This event succeeded in providing a platform for young talents to showcase their storytelling prowess while raising awareness about the importance of endangered species. The event not only celebrated the art of storytelling but also fostered a sense of responsibility towards our environment and the creatures that inhabit it.

depicting the
story of a Talking Animal Support Group. The participant used speech bubbles, captions, thought
bubbles,
onomatopoeia, balloon tail etc to intricate the story of different animal characters. She creatively
and
beautifully illustrated the story in the comic strip. In the same event, Aashvi Mishra of grade II
also bagged

SPLENDOUR-2023 an inter-school literary festival was organized by Summer Fields School in the month of August. Many schools participated in a number of events. Rishika Singh of VH Shalom Hills International School won the second prize in the ‘Hindi Story Narration’ event. In this event the participants had to weave a story on the harmful effects of pollution and also suggest ways to save the environment. All the participants were judged on the basis of the content of the story, enactment and presentation. Rishika’s costume, use of colourful props related to the theme was appreciated by all. Shalom Group of Schools hosted the iconic Sustainable Development Goals Summit 2023. The all-
important summit
brought together more than 900 students from over 35 schools to brainstorm and debate the 17
gamechanger
Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The summit opened with a rousing welcome given to our
inspiration and
pillar of strength, our Founder and Chairperson, Dr. (Mrs.) Lilly George. Ma’am cordially welcomed
the esteemed
guests, Chief Guest Brig. Randhir Singh, Guests of Honour Col. Ajay Dabur and Mr. Ishwar Singh Mehla
at the
Opening Ceremony and Major Gen. G D Bakshi as the Chief Guest, Col. Dharamveer Singh, Mr. Bhawani
Shankar
Tripathi and Mr. Swapnil Verma as the Guests of honour at the Closing Ceremony. Expressing her
sincere
appreciation and gratitude for the dignitaries and participating schools, Ma’am urged the children
to initiate
change by adopting a conservationist approach towards the environment.
Beautiful cultural events
truly set
the tone and tenor of the event. The first day featured seven events and competitions in multiple
categories,
including a speech competition, a poster- making competition, Shark Tank, Moot court simulation,
quiz
tournament, and Debatathon. The events challenged students to contemplate critically about the SDGs
and to
develop lasting solutions to some of the world’s most pressing problems. The MUN sessions on day 2
& 3 gave
more wings to the elevated minds and offered an ultimate opportunity for students to delve, discover
and develop
their inherent skills in problem-solving and critical thinking.
The SDG Summit 2023 was a
phenomenal success
and proved to be an amazing and unforgettable experience for the young learners and all
stakeholders.

The 'Hub of Learning' platform brought the Hub Schools together again on 11 th July ,2023 in the premises of 'Shalom Hills International School' where a thrilling and exhilarating contest was organized by the Hindi Department of the School on the topic 'PRASHNOTTARI' ,a quiz for the students of grade VIII. There were four rounds in the quiz where the children participated with utmost confidence and composure. The overall aim of the CBSE which is to create opportunities for collaborative learning that provides the most joyful, creative, exploratory and vibrant school experience and environment for its learners and the most satisfactory experience for its teachers was thoroughly achieved. It was a proud moment for the winners to receive medals and certificates from the judges. Thereafter, the entire team interacted with the Principal, who encouraged the children to participate actively in all fields as it augments a lot of learning. The event concluded on a cheerful and optimistic note.
A Digital Content Designing competition organized at Blue Bells Model School in Sector 4 on May 18 ,2023 Gurugram was a remarkable event which aimed at creating awareness regarding cybercrime. A team of students from Shalom Hills International School participated enthusiastically in the video making competition in which the participants were assigned a task to demonstrate and raise awareness about cybercrime through their videos. A total of 40 schools participated in the competition showcasing their skill. The entries were displayed for everyone to view, allowing the attendees to witness the creativity and efforts put forth by the participants. The event began with an orchestra presentation, creating a vibrant and engaging atmosphere for the participants and attendees followed by more such mesmerising performances and speeches. A dance performance on the theme of "Save Trees" was presented, to promote promote environmental awareness. The opening speech was delivered by Mr. Siddhant Jain, the Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP). His speech emphasized on the importance of cybersecurity and the need to address cybercrime in our society. Throughout the event, several Cyber Security Officers and the DCP shared their valuable experiences and insights with all the participants. Overall the event was a successful and informative one providing a platform for schools to showcase their ingenuity and contribute to the fight against cybercrime.
As we all are aware
that during
these days we are under the grip of cybercrime and to make people aware of such evils, a street play
was
organized by Cyber Police Gurugram in DAV, Sector 14 School on May 18 ,2023.
The topic for the
street play
was Cyber Safety in which almost 30 schools participated including Shalom Hills International
School. The
students presented a nukkad natak with great enthusiasm.Through the engaging performances of the
actors, it
sought to educate and empower the audience to protect themselves in the digital world.
The effort
taken by
the Cyber Police Gurugram to make people aware is commendable. They thought that was the best way to
reach out
to students. “The idea is to spread the message to the students.” It proved to be an impactful and
thought-provoking performance. Through its engaging storyline and compelling performances, it
successfully
conveyed the importance of cybercrime awareness and the need for personal vigilance in the digital
era. The play
effectively encouraged the audience to be proactive in safeguarding their online presence and to
report any
suspicious activities to the appropriate authorities. Overall, the nukkad natak contributed to the
ongoing
efforts to combat cybercrime and create a safer digital environment.

Under the
inspiring
leadership of our beloved MD ma’am, a delegation of 14 students of Sahlom Hills International school
participated in an Inter- school MUN conference in Shemrock School, Mohali , Chandigarh.
Inauguration ceremony
of which was held on May 20 , 2023. The student delegates were welcomed and motivated for a healthy
competition
and learning journey ahead by the Founder of Aspirants Learning , Mr.Priyanshu Grover .The opening
Ceremony was
made even more special by the presence of Mr Rubal Garg, Barrister Advocate Punjab & Haryana
High Court as
Chief Guest of the event and guest of honour Ms.Priti Chaudhary of Chitkara University.
The
Shalomites bagged
‘ School Delegation Runners Up Trophy ’ at the prestigious event. During the conference, the
delegates exhibited
exemplary research and preparation, effectively representing their assigned countries and advocating
for their
positions. Their speeches and resolutions showcased in-depth understanding of the global issues
being discussed
and reflected the dedication and hard work put into their MUN preparation. On 22 nd May a grand
closing ceremony
was held of this two day event. The chief guests at the closing ceremony were Dr. Khuspreet Kaur
Mann (IAS
officer) Mr. Danics (SDM HQ, New Delhi). All the winners were awarded with trophies, certificates
and medals
.
The event was an unforgettable one and focused on the global issues so that we could all make
this world a
better place to live in!
Preparing and
participating in a
MUN helps students develop leadership skills, research ability, writing, public speaking, and

skills. Coming up with solutions that are acceptable to a majority of the representatives also
inculcates skills
of negotiation, conflict resolution, and cooperation in the children.
This event full of
knowledge-acquisition was made possible with the inspiring guidance of our dynamic Founder and
Chairperson. As
an educator, Ma’am has an earnest desire to build an institution where an education blended in all
colours of
human values can be given. The Inauguration ceremony held on April 20, 2023 at Shalom Hills
International
School, had the Founder of Aspirants Learning Mr. Priyanshu Grover and his team, welcome and
motivate the 300+
participants from both Shalom Hills and Shalom Presidency for a healthy competition and learning
journey.
The
two-days of debating on world issues, public speaking, negotiating, innovative solutions, ended on
22 nd of
April with a grand Closing Ceremony. Mr. Priyanshu felicitated the Founder and Chairperson by
presenting a
Memento. The Aspirant Executive Board Members were also presented with plants by Ma’am,
commemorating Earth Day,
as tokens of gratitude. The motivational words of our beloved Founder and Chairperson filled the
students with
immense excitement and happiness.
The winners were awarded with Merit Certificates and Medals.
All the
participants received Participation Certificates. The First Edition of Model United Nations at
Shalom was a
grand success and focused on the global issues so that we could all make this world a better place
to live in!
The teaser video of SDG Summit, Gurugram Chapter 2023 was released and the senior organizing
committee was also
announced.

Under the aegis & guidance of our inspiring Founder and Chairperson, Dr. (Mrs.)
Lilly George,
the Junior and Senior Division teams from Shalom Hills International School undertook a learning
pursuit in the
World Scholar’s Cup held at DPS International School from April 15, 2023 to April 17, 2023. The
theme for this
year’s WSC is “Reconstructing the Past”.
The three days' experience truly gave our students a
chance to delve
deep and channel their passion and motivation to learn and achieve. 49 Shalomites (33 seniors and 16
juniors)
participated with full vigour and confidence.
The event commenced with an Opening Ceremony and a
briefing
session on the World Scholar’s Cup. The participants engaged in the Collaborative Writing, Scholar’s
Challenge
events, and Team Debates. The event ended with the Awards Ceremony in which many students won
laurels and
acclaim.
Through the assiduous efforts of the students, Shalom Hills International School was
able to bring
home 96 gold medals, 149 silver medals and 6 trophies for being the overall scholar – 3 rd , 4 th ,
and 5 th
rank, overall team global qualifier – 1 st rank, team debate – 2 nd rank and Jac Khor Award. The
teams also
qualified for the global rounds which is scheduled to take place later this year.
The regional
round of the
WSC was a true celebration of learning with fun and entertainment!
‘Potpourri’, an
inter-school art
jamboree was organised by Delhi Public School, Sushant Lok, Gurugram in the month of February. Grade
5 students
participated in the event ‘My Mind’s Heart ‘. Each participant had to design a poster depicting
emotional
well-being using mixed medium. They also had to write a slogan related to the topic as well as speak
a few lines
on their artwork. Navyasha Singh of class V H won the third prize in this competition. In the event,
‘Outside My
Window’, Paridhi Yadav of class IV E won the first prize. In this event each participant had to
create a
2-dimensional canvas artwork using any medium of the participant’s choice. The participants also had
to speak
about their artwork. The event provided students an opportunity to step out of their cocoons and
spread out
their wings to transform into magnificent butterflies. It was a proud moment for the students as
they once again
proved their mettle. The vivacity and brilliance of the
students was displayed through their
outstanding
performances. The competition was an enriching experience for the students of Shalom Hills
International School.
