With the esteemed blessings of the visionary Founder and Chairperson, Dr Mrs Lilly George, and the invaluable mentorship and guidance of our Sherpa & Vice Chairman - Mr. Dennis George, the educators from Shalom Hills International School attended the CUET Orientation Programme held at the CBSE Integrated Office in Dwarka. The event aimed at acquainting school principals and counsellors with the significant developments introduced in the CUET 2025 examination. With over 450 participants in attendance, the session served as a valuable platform to communicate key updates and provide strategic guidance for better student support. The orientation delved into a comprehensive comparative analysis between the existing structure and the revised framework, thus enabling participants to grasp the nuanced evolution of the examination. Core components such as revised timelines, fee structures, and procedural modifications were clearly outlined, offering schools a clearer roadmap for preparation and implementation.
One of the central focuses of the orientation was the detailed explanation of pivotal changes in CUET 2025 compared to its predecessor. Among the most notable revisions, the examination will now be conducted entirely in Computer-Based Test (CBT) mode, moving away from the hybrid format used in CUET 2024. The number of questions per subject has been reduced from 60 to 50, streamlining the assessment while maintaining its rigour. A significant enhancement is the introduction of a new section on General Science and Environmental Literacy, which expands the ambit of the General Aptitude Test and aligns with contemporary educational priorities.
Furthermore, the total number of subjects available has been reduced from 63 in 2024 to 37 in 2025, thereby refining the examination’s focus and making it more purpose- driven. In a move towards standardisation, CUET 2025 ensures equal weightage and time allocation across all sections, promoting a balanced approach to evaluation. The session concluded on an engaging note with a dynamic questionnaire and quiz segment, adding an interactive dimension to the proceedings. Overall, the orientation left school leaders better informed, confident, and equipped to guide their students effectively through the CUET 2025 journey.
