The "Character Mask Making Activity" was successfully conducted for students of Grade IV, aiming to enhance their engagement with fictional literature and foster creative expression. As a core library initiative, the activity began with an interactive session where students explored a diverse range of fictional characters from popular storybooks, myths, and legends. They learned about various character traits, roles, and narrative significance, sparking their imagination and deepening their understanding of storytelling. Following this exploratory phase, students were provided with materials to craft masks of their chosen favourite fictional characters. The creativity displayed was exceptional, with an impressive array of masks showcasing everything from brave superheroes and enchanting fairy creatures to wise wizards and clever animals. Each mask was a unique artistic interpretation. The activity culminated in an engaging class presentation. Students, proudly wearing their self-made masks, introduced their characters, spoke about their admired qualities, and shared key aspects of their stories. This not only boosted their public speaking skills and confidence but also solidified their connection to the world of books. The event was a resounding success, promoting both literary appreciation and artistic talent.
