As part of the Google for Education India Programme, a Google AI Educator Workshop was organised on 28th October 2026 at the Google Office, Gurugram. Representing Shalom Group of Schools, Ms Sarika Aneja and Ms Aditi Jain participated in this enriching professional development initiative, aimed at exploring the transformative potential of Artificial Intelligence in education.
The workshop offered hands-on exposure to AI-powered tools, including Gemini, Canvas in Gemini and NotebookLM, highlighting their practical applications in teaching, learning and school administration. Educators explored the PARTS Prompting Framework (Persona, Aim, Recipients, Theme and Structure) to generate meaningful and structured AI outputs.
The sessions demonstrated how Gemini could support lesson planning, curriculum-aligned learning outcomes, differentiated worksheets, assessments and real-world learning resources. Canvas in Gemini was explored for creating visual explainers, teacher portfolios, student progress trackers and event webpages, while NotebookLM offered innovative possibilities for academic planning, meeting documentation and report preparation.
A key focus was placed on the responsible integration of AI, emphasising content verification, curriculum alignment, data privacy and the importance of teacher supervision.
The workshop provided valuable insights into leveraging AI to enhance instructional efficiency, personalise learning experiences and streamline administrative processes. It reinforced the importance of equipping educators with emerging digital competencies while ensuring that technology remains a meaningful support to human-led teaching and learning.
The experience marked another step towards fostering an innovative, digitally empowered and future-ready educational environment.
