Strengthening Inclusive Education at WIC India 2026

1st August 2026

The Counsellors of Shalom Hills International School participated in the IFIP World Inclusion Conference (WIC) India 2026 on 1 August 2026, a prestigious forum dedicated to promoting inclusive education, collaborative leadership, and sustainable development.

The conference began with an inspiring welcome note by Ms. Anvita, Co-Founder of WIC, who highlighted the importance of empathy and mindful interactions in building an inclusive society. Dr. Harsh Vardhan Shringla, former Foreign Secretary of India, emphasized the vision of “Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas” and the transformative role of technology in ensuring equitable access to education.

A keynote session on “Education as a Catalyst for Inclusive Development and Sustainable Peace” reinforced the need for schools to create environments where diversity is celebrated and every learner feels valued. The team also explored innovative educational technologies at stalls such as Cognitive Botics and Great Minds.

A major highlight was the Inclusion Leaders Panel, which stressed early identification and intervention, collaborative inclusion teams, and strong parent-school partnerships. The session emphasized empathy, trust, open communication, and shared responsibility as the foundation of effective inclusion.

The conference offered valuable insights that will further strengthen Shalom Hills’ inclusive practices, student well-being initiatives, and commitment to creating a compassionate, equitable, and future-ready learning environment.
