Scholars of Shalom Hills International School proudly represented the institution at the prestigious World Scholar's Cup Global Round 2026 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Guided by the inspiring vision of our respected Founder, Dr Mrs. Lilly George, and the unwavering support of our Sherpa & Vice Chairman, Mr. Dennis George, the delegation joined over 4,000 participants from more than 40 countries in a celebration of academic excellence, collaboration, and cultural exchange.
The week featured a dynamic blend of academic competitions and cultural experiences, including Collaborative Writing, Scholar's Challenge, Team Debates, Scholar's Bowl, Scholar's Show, and the Debate Showcase. Scholars also participated in the Scholar's Scavenge, Scholar's Social, Cultural Fair, and a city tour of Kuala Lumpur, making the experience both intellectually enriching and culturally immersive.
The Shalom Hills delegation delivered an outstanding performance. The Junior Division, represented by twelve scholars across three teams, earned 3 Team Trophies, 38 Gold Medals, and 23 Silver Medals, while two Senior Division scholars secured 4 Gold Medals and 6 Silver Medals. Notable individual achievements included Saanvi Sharma securing Rank 4 Champion Scholar, Rank 8 Debate Champion, and Rank 6 Top Team in Debate alongside Nayra Tuteja and Ayushman Pandey. Anmol achieved Rank 16 Individual Top Scholar in Team Debate, while Anmol and Avni secured Rank 12 Top Team in Debate.
The delegation returned with an impressive total of 42 Gold Medals, 29 Silver Medals, and 3 Team Trophies. Beyond the accolades, the experience fostered confidence, global awareness, and lifelong learning, reaffirming Shalom Hills International School's commitment to nurturing future-ready global citizens.
