Shalom Hills International School conducted a series of Orientation Programmes for newly admitted students of Grades I to VI from 14th to 25th March 2026. The sessions, led by the respective grade coordinators, warmly welcomed families and offered a comprehensive overview of the school’s academic vision, culture, and expectations for the upcoming session.
The programme began with an expression of gratitude to our guiding force, our Founder, Dr. Mrs. Lilly George, our dynamic leader, Sherpa & Vice Chairman - Mr. Denis George, and our Nurturer & Director, Mrs. Karishma George, acknowledging their inspiring leadership and commitment to educational excellence.
Parents were introduced to the essence of the “Shalom Culture,” rooted in empathy, respect, and responsibility. The school’s experiential and holistic approach to learning was highlighted, providing insight into the nurturing environment designed for students.
The coordinators also shared details of the academic calendar and introduced “Kaushal Bodh,” a skill-based club initiative aimed at fostering talents beyond the classroom. The school’s infrastructure, including arts facilities, laboratories, library, and sports amenities, was showcased as an integral part of the learning ecosystem.
The vibrant co-curricular framework, including cultural events and the House System—Ebony, Maple, Oak, and Cedar—was presented as a platform for developing teamwork and leadership. The prestigious “Shalom Conclave” was also highlighted.
The session concluded with an overview of the assessment structure and the collaboration with Open Door Assessments for Mathematics and Science.
The orientation proved to be an engaging and informative experience, setting the stage for a meaningful academic journey.
