10th District Roller Skating Championship

Shalomites participated in 10Th District Roller Skating Championship from 24/11/2017-26/11/17 at Gurgaon Skating Rink, Gurgaon- Faridabad Road, where more than 418 skaters participated in different races. Our school was represented by a team of 30 members out of which below mentioned children were able to podium finish.

Shalom Boys Basketball Team Claims The Runners Up Trophy in the 5th Invitational Inter School Basketball Championship held at Pathways World School, Aravali

Shalom Hills International school boys basketball team have kept the spirits high by winning the Runners Up position in the 5th Invitational Inter School Basketball Championship held at Pathways World School, Aravali from 18/4/17 to 20/4/17.
Matches were played on a league system where Shalom boys displayed their refined skills by winning against the top schools; SHIS won 4 matches to claim the Runners Up trophy. Harsh Dagar of grade X was announced as best player of the tournament award.

These iconic words rang loud, clear and true on 29th January 2017 when the talented juniors of SHIS swept practically most gold, silver and bronze medals in the in the 7th DKI Delhi-NCR Inter-School Karate Championship 2017. The extremely fit, agile and energetic youngsters of SHIS, ably trained by their coach and physical instructor, Mr. Michael won gold(8), silver (3) and bronze (6) medals in the coveted Inter-School Karate Championship 2017.

Shalom students win 3rd position in 9--A side National Level Football Competition

Yet another feather has been added in the cap of Shalom achievements and sports accolades. The new year 2017 began on a successful and propitious note as 2 bright Shalom students , Parth Chauhan of IX and Soham Moulree of VIII won laurels by bagging the 3rd position in the 9--A side National Level Football Competition held recently in Raipur.

Annual Sports Day celebrated for Junior Wing on 21st Dec’16

The school playground of SHIS was filled with great zeal, excitement and frolicsome atmosphere on 21st December, 2016 as Grade V celebrated its Annual Sports Day. Sports and athletics have been an integral part of SHIS for years immemorial. Students dressed in their sports uniform stood with flamboyant spirit, eager to participate in the competition.
Once the races began, the air was filled with cheering and tons of encouragement. Students competed in events such as sack races, obstacle races and three legged races. Students put in their whole hearted effort to beat each other in the races; it was a fine display of the most energetic performances.
Students extremely enjoyed the day and celebrated the winners these races. The sports day ended with a tug-of-war which was a cherry on the cake. Sports not only channelize students’ energy in the most productive way, it also builds effective team and boosts friendship.

SHALOM BOYS MAKE THEIR MARK IN FOOTBALL COMPETITION

SHIS Boys U-12, U-14 & U-19 & Girls U-17 football team participated in The Heritage Football Extravaganza organized by The Heritage School, (Gurgaon) from 28/11/16 & 01/12/16 at their school campus. This tournament was special for us as our Girls U-17 team made their debut at their first competition. U-12 boys team was doing better as they were exposed number of competition where they first time tasted the victory in their two games out of five they played. U-14 boys’ team shocked the complete crowd as they came undefeated in the tournament registering their win against Kunskapskolan & G. Goenka Public school. Team displayed wonderful skills as they were able to draw matches against the best teams of Gurgaon region The Heritage school & The Shri Ram Ram school Aravali. Unfortunately Heritage, Shri Ram & Shalom conceived equal points in the league rounds & therefore goal difference method was adopted which stopped us by reaching to the Semi-finals by one point less to Heritage. But I am very sure in the coming competition they will bring the trophy home.

4th Pathways World School, Aravali Invitational Inter-School Football Tournament, 2016-17

Shalom U-10 (boys) football team for the first time participated in 4th Pathways World School, Aravali Invitational Inter-School Football Tournament from 21st to 23rd November, 2016. It was first time when students of grade III-V were exposed to competition. It was a wonderful experience for the students who played two league matches loosing first match & and playing a draw in the second league match against Presidium & G.D Goenka respectively.
