Founder’s Day 2026: Celebrating a Legacy of Values & Vision 14th August 2026

The Shalom Group of Schools celebrated Founder’s Day with profound gratitude and joy, honouring the remarkable legacy of its revered Founder, Dr Mrs Lilly George, whose vision gave birth to an institution built on the timeless values of love, care, compassion and empathy. What began as a dream to nurture children with excellence and character has grown into a thriving learning community where values remain the foundation of every educational endeavour.

Under the visionary leadership of our Sherpa & Vice-Chairman - Mr Dennis George, this legacy continues to flourish in the technological era through a future-focused educational philosophy. With competency-based learning, differentiated instruction, inclusive practices, Social-Emotional Learning (SEL), innovation and digital readiness at its core, Shalom is committed to raising ethically grounded, confident and future-ready young adults who lead with both intelligence and integrity.

The traditional Chenda procession accorded a grand ceremonial welcome to our revered Founder, Dr Lilly George, accompanied by our respected Sherpa & Vice Chairman - Mr Dennis George and our Nurturer & Director, Mrs Karishma George, followed by heartfelt greetings from students and alumni.

The ceremonial lamp lighting marked the beginning of an inspiring cultural programme featuring Margam Kali, South Indian, Russian and Classical dance performances, alongside soulful musical tributes that reflected the rich cultural fabric of the Shalom family.

A defining highlight of the celebration was the launch of the renewed Shalom Anthem, a stirring musical tribute that embodied the shared identity, collective aspirations, and enduring values of the entire Shalom family.

The cultural showcase continued with the powerful ballet Draupadi: Then & Now, portraying Draupadi’s timeless strength, dignity, and resilience while drawing meaningful parallels with the aspirations and challenges of women in contemporary society. Adding to the emotional fervour, Bharat Ki Beti, presented by students of Grades III–VI, celebrated the courage, dignity, and indomitable spirit of the daughters of India.

The celebrations culminated in the spectacular teachers’ finale, “The Shalom Spirit,” a vibrant tribute that beautifully reaffirmed the institution’s enduring commitment to unity, excellence, and values-driven education.

Founder’s Day was not merely a celebration of an institution’s journey—it was a heartfelt reaffirmation of a legacy where values illuminate the path, relationships strengthen the community, and visionary education prepares every learner for a meaningful future.
